Storm clouds gather to cast a dark shadow over the Nike football footwear collection. The Swoosh have forecasted Dark Lightning across all maps as they update their four silos with a subdued rumble of thunder and bolt of darkness striking the uppers of each boot.
In a busy month for Nike, the new Dark Lightning pack follows the release of the Tech Craft IV pack and CR7 Chapter 3. Black uppers with white swooshes and pops of bright colour is how the Dark Lightning pack touches down. Creeping in through the dark and arriving as a low-key alternative to Nike's on-pitch collection, it's a pack that will draw attention even if it doesn't demand it.
A clean sweep across all Nike's top four silos sees the update land on the Mercurial Superfly V, Magista Obra II, Hypervenom Phantom II and Tiempo VI, as well as matching editions to the lo-cut silhouettes. The Hypervenom lands in "Black/Volt/Paramount Blue/White", the Mercurial in "Black/Electric Green/White", the Magista in "Black/Paramount Blue/Crimson" and the Tiempo in "Black/Hyper Orange".
The Dark Lightning pack will also span over the Nike FootballX series, and for the first time since the launch colourway of the Magista II, the Hypervenom, Tiempo and Magista will also be available in Nike Anti-Clog editions. The more vibrant Floodlights Pack will remain on the feet of Nike's contracted players but the Dark Lightning line-up possesses a different vibe altogether.
