Umbro embark on the 2017/18 season with a new look silo collection that includes a second generation Medusae, third generation Velocita and refreshed UX-Accuro. Control, speed and comfort; the most reliable of categories. Backed with black and bursting with 'Bluefish' detailing, it's a modest group of updates that will be popular across the board.
Headlining the collection is the second Medusae II Elite colourway. Umbro introduced themselves into the collared world of football boot design with the launch of the Medusae II Elite this year, and after releasing the silo in a punchy yellow and blue colourway they've toned things down with a more reserved, but arguably more inviting combination of black and blue.
Umbro have given the Velocita 3 the most vibrant of updates in the collection with an aqua aesthetic that stands strong. The Velocita 3 features a lower-cut collar in comparison to the Medusae II, but is still Umbro's most prominent and popular boot on the professional scene. The UX-Accuro stays true to its character by dressing itself in an all black coat with blue branding. Safe.
