Nike are celebrating Black History Month 2018 with the launch of the Mercurial Vapor XI BHM football boot – a release that pays homage to the achievements of black athletes across all sports and beyond, and carries a message that's even stronger than the slick design.

The Black History Month takeover returns to football in 2018 to continue a limited-edition trend that started on the Mercurial Superfly IV in 2015 and moved onto the Magista Obra in 2016. This time around it's the lo-cut Mercurial Vapor XI that provides the canvas for another stunning spectacle of design.

The Mercurial Vapor XI BHM will take its right position on pitch, where it'll worn by Dani Alves and Kevin-Prince Boateng who the Swoosh have selected to follow in the steps of Blaise Matuidi who laced up the Magista for a few games back in 2016.

The upper of the Mercurial Vapor XI BHM features different coloured line graphics on a black canvas to represent the roots of the different communities coming together. The word 'EQUALITY' is plastered on the sock-liner of the boot, and the design is finished off with shimmering gold Swooshes, and a matching BHM logo on the heel.
