Nike Launch The Tiempo Legend 8 "Nouveau" Edition

It’s no secret that the Tiempo has been due a revamp, with the seventh iteration being released two years ago, back in June 2017. And now, ahead of the 2019/20 season, Nike have lifted the veil on the Tiempo Legend 8, showing off the all-white “Nouveau”, one of two sumptuous launch colourways for the revamped icon.

Nike have been keeping the Tiempo Legend 8 under wraps – quite literally: a wavy black and white design that distorted the word ‘Tiempo’ hiding the finer details of the boot as it was given a run out by the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Sergio Ramos towards the end of last season. But now it’s been unwrapped for all to see, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Two debut colourways usher in the eighth generation of Nike’s classic, with the all-white “Nouveau” being joined by the darker “Under The Radar” release.

“Nouveau” translates simply as “New”, and the cleanest of clean aesthetics on display here certainly play into that fresh feeling. Dripping with premium vibes, an iridescent Swoosh shimmers as it stretches from the heel down the medial side, ending right at the point where the Quadfit Mesh heel ends and the premium, unstitched K-Leather takes over, covering the entire forefoot for the softest of touches. Underneath that outer layer is a Flyknit tunnel, which wraps the mid-foot for a custom fit. This colourway won't feature on the feet on Nike's squad of contracted Tiempo players; they'll be wearing the "Under The Radar" edition.
