Celebrating the U.S.A’s triumph at this year’s World Cup in style, Nike have presented all members of the team with special golden edged editions of the 'Victory Pack' ahead of their friendly match with Sweden this week.

The USWNT romped to their fourth World Cup victory in France in what was the most viewed women’s football tournament in history. And to celebrate the landmark success, Nike have gifted all members of the team with special editions of the 'Victory Pack', which Nike athletes wore during the competition.

The 'Victory Pack' was released ahead of the 2019 World Cup, and it featured a stand-out hand-sketched wing pattern of sharp geometric angles on the rear of each boot, a unique look that was inspired by the Goddess of Victory, Nike herself. And this look has been carried across to the special commemorative editions of the Mercurial Vapor, PhantomVN, VSN, and Tiempo, which all feature four stars down the lateral side. The newest star is emblazoned with a U.S. flag-inspired background, while the white canvas of the boots is joined by gold detailing.

The players names appear on the boots along with the wording ‘World Champions 2019’. As a nice nod to the Netherlands, the USWNT’s defeated opponent in the final in Paris, the black Swoosh is bordered by orange on all four silos. Despite not all players in the squad being Nike athletes, they’ve all been gifted the special edition boots. Unfortunately, despite the popularity of the original Victory Pack across the globe, seen on the feet of numerous men as well as women, these special editions will not be released for retail.

The USWNT take on Sweden on 8 November, so keep an eye out for who wears them and who keeps them for the mantlepiece.
