adidas Launch Nemeziz Messi 19.1 "Indigo/Green/Glory"

Fresh off of picking up his sixth Balon d’Or award last night, adidas launch the Nemeziz Messi 19.1 “Indigo/Green/Glory”, with a design that takes a certain amount of inspiration from Messi’s 2010 World Cup F50.

Messi has already debuted his latest signature edition Nemeziz, scoring the only goal in Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in them on the weekend, but now adidas officially launch the new look silo, and it features a new colourway that undoubtedly takes a bit of inspiration from the F50 that he wore at the 2010 World Cup.

Strangely, the boot drops the night after Messi picked up his record sixth Ballon d’Or, but there is no hint of a mention of that on the design, and no sign of any gold as seen in past special editions. So is this just a regular release? Sort of. The Three Stripes are still using the win to launch the boot, despite the lack any specific reference to the award in its design. Could be that they roll out something special down the line instead, or it could be that they felt their work was done with the recent launch of the special edition ‘Messi 15 Years’ Nemeziz.

The design of the latest Nemeziz Messi 19.1 sees an indigo base joined by vibrant flashes of volt through the Three Stripes and other branding details, and through the stud tips. Tech-wise, there’s no change, so you still get the 360 Agility Tension Tape upper construction, with a split outsole.
