Sergio Aguero completed a record-breaking 12th hat-trick on the weekend, also becoming the highest overseas goalscorer in Premier League history at the same time as Manchester City destroyed Aston Villa 6-1. And to honour the achievement, PUMA presented the Argentinian with a pair of special edition PUMA One.
Whether you love him or hate him (and it’s hard to do the latter) you can only admire the goal-scoring prowess of Sergio Aguero. The man is an absolute machine, notching up 177 goals in 255 Premier League games to mark him out as the highest scoring overseas player that the league has ever seen. With those goals has come 12 hat-tricks, taking him past the tally that previous holder Alan Shearer had amassed throughout his career to stand alone as the league’s greatest-ever match ball hunter.
To celebrate the feat, PUMA have presented Aguero with a pair of special edition ONE boots, complete in the colours of Manchester City, with a unique swirling sky blue and white design. A tinge of purple nods to the current City kit, the first produced by PUMA, while the front of the evoKNIT sock features the word “Three” and the heel tab at the back features the words “Hat-trick” followed by a crown, all in gold for a classy sign off that’s worthy of the achievement.
Unfortunately for any of you with designs on getting your hands on a pair of these, early indications seem to be that they're a one off for the man himself.
