September is upon us, and while it signals a return to school and the end of summer for most, to sweeten the blow it also means that Nike has finally officially launched its latest pack. Known as the Flash Crimson Pack, it sees striking new looks for the Mercurial Vapor XIII, Superfly VII and Tiempo Legend VIII.

We got our first look at the Mercurial Vapor and Superfly in this guise way back at the beginning of  July, but now they’re officially launched under the ‘Flash Crimson’ pack name along with the Tiempo Legend VIII. No sign of the all-new Phantom GT in this setup – this is a two silo, three boot pack, but it is no less effective for it. It sees a white base combining with some – you guessed it – flashes of crimson, bringing some autumnal hues as we move away from summer.

For the Mercurial Vapor and Superfly, it's a chance to show off that lightning Swoosh in all its glory, with very little else in the way of distractions – it's big, it's bold, and it flashes down the lateral side of the boot on that crisp white background. That impactful crimson colouring fades as it wraps from the lateral side to the medial, transitioning into the “Hyper Jade” colouring. This transition is executed best on the underside, with the effect shown perfectly on the split soleplate.

For the Tiempo, it's a the same white and crimson aesthetics, presented in the usual toned down affair when compared with the Mercurial. There's no lightning Swoosh here, instead the traditional elongated wraparound job that stretched along the side right around the heel. The soleplate then takes on the block crimson colouring, finishing a fairly standard look for the classic silo. Well, certainly standard when placed next to the Mercurial anyway.
