Gearing up for an Autumn/Winter schedule, Umbro provide a new "Blue Sapphire/Lime Punch/White” colourway for the Velocita 5 and the Tocco, titling the pair as the ‘Deadly Duo’.
Umbro has recently had a reshuffle in its ranks, positioning the Velocita 5 and the all-new Tocco as its prime players in the boot room, even going so far as to give them the moniker of the ‘Deadly Duo’ for the latest colourway launch. Not sold on that? Doesn’t matter, ‘coz what it is is simply a new uniform look for the pair ahead of the colder, darker months.
First up, the Velocita 5 finds the blue wrapping across the upper, but it’s interrupted by the aptly named “Lime Punch”, which pops through the laser-cut auxetic pattern across the forefoot that gives the speed silo such a unique look. The lightweight Pebax Sprint+ soleplate is also coated in the same lime look, and it continues proceedings with the neoprene collar, which stretches across the upper of the foot to create a seamless feel, before finishing on the Double Diamond.
For the Tocco, the “Lime Punch” is restricted to just the Double Diamond logo on the side foot, with white being subbed in on the tooled in dual density Pebax, with the wishbone outsole standing out all the more for it. Aside from that, the “Blue Sapphire” covers the rest of the Italian Idro-leather upper, which covers the D3O tech in the forefoot, incorporated to significantly enhance first touch accuracy.
