adidas Launch The 'Eternal Class' Pack

Arriving a day too late for Christmas, adidas launch the ‘Eternal Class’ pack, which features a crisp white relaunch of the Predator Absolute alongside the revamped Copa Mundial 20. At least now you know what to put that money from Gran towards…

The Three Stripes boast an archive like no other brand, and they dip into once again for the ‘Eternal Class’ pack, combining 2006’s Predator Absolute with the timeless Copa Mundial, which has been reworked to bring it up to speed with the pace of the modern game. Both boots are decked out in wintery white leather with gold and black accents to create a luxurious feel whilst still retaining the same on-pitch performance expected of each silo.

The Predator Absolute brings to mind prime Kaka and the 2006 World Cup, while this fresh redo most closely resembles the look of the David Beckham signature Absolute Swerve of the same year. The base white is joined by the unmistakeable rendition of the Three Stripes that became the signature of the Absolute. The same split soleplate design from the original is incorporated once again, however the heel cup has been retooled, as have the stud type and positioning.

For the Copa Mundial, the changes are slightly more significant, but the essence of the OG is still very much present. As you’d expect, the same premium K-leather is used in the upper, ensuring the same touch and feel is present that has made this such a favoured boot for so many years. The iconic tongue is mildly scaled back, while the biggest change comes on the underside, where the current COPA 20+ soleplate is incorporated, providing the stability and traction that the modern game requires.

The pack is rounded out by two Copa Mundial trainer options, again presented in the pristine white, one turf and one indoor variant. Here the K-leather is joined by suede overlays, lending a level of durability that the small-sided game demands.
