Leicester City playmaker James Maddison has collaborated with Pro:Direct Soccer to design his very own pair of custom-made boots for the Boxing Day match against Manchester United. Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Maddison’s bespoke PUMA Future 6.1s are designed to be noticed.

After a period out at the beginning of the season, James Maddison is starting to force his way back into the Leicester City side, with the England man finding form as we head into the festive period. Always one to catch the eye, whether its for his on pitch displays or his forays into fashion, he’ll be sure to catch the eye this weekend when his side take on Manchester United, as he’ll be wearing his newly custom made PUMA Future 6.1. Vibrant in colour, the whiteout outsole includes subtle bursts of red, yellow, green, and light blue in homage of Maddison’s former clubs Aberdeen, Coventry, and Norwich whilst Leicester City colours are also represented in the number 10 featured on the instep.

Other details on the boots include Maddison’s life mantra ‘Be yourself, everybody else is taken’ as well as some denim stitching onto the upper to provide the added flair that he likes to display. I just wanted it to be personal, I always wanted a boot that I could design,” Maddison explained. “I always wanted the main colour of the boot to be white as that’s when I feel at my best and I walk out on pitch ready to go.

The bespoke design was created by footwear artist Aida Kiraya AKA 'Afro Kickz' and delivered to Maddison by Pro:Direct Soccer YouTube hosts Yung Filly and Mobo-award winning Chunkz whose catchphrases also feature on the heel of the boot.
