Nike Launch Two New Colourways For The Premier II

Just in time for the return of grassroots football on UK shores, Nike have added two new Ronaldinho-inspired colourways to the Premier II line, including a “Dark Beetroot/Metallic Gold/Black” paint-job that recognises the iconic 2007 Tiempo Ronaldinho 10R "Team Red", alongside an “Oatmeal/Black/Metallic Vivid Gold” outfit.

With its classic look and feel, the Premier II is the perfect vessel for some homage-filled colourways, such as the “White/Black” release from last year, which was inspired by the Tiempo Legend IV from the 2012 'Clash Collection’. And it has also been used to honour Ronaldinho in the past, with a "White/Metallic Gold” colourway inspired by the famed Nike Air Legend R10 design, released on the Brazilian icon’s birthday in 2018. And now two more colourways inspired by his boot history have been released.

First up there’s the “Dark Beetroot/Metallic Gold/Black” look that’s a straight up nod to the iconic 2007 Tiempo Ronaldinho 10R "Team Red” release. The most noticeable change up is the switch on the Swoosh from white to gold, while the once gold studs are now black, along with the laces. Black then trims the tongue and collar for a simple shift that still retains the class of the original 10R Tiempo.

Then there’s the “Oatmeal/Black/Metallic Vivid Gold” option, which is again inspired by a colourway worn by Ronaldinho, albeit a little less faithful in its interpretation. The base colour is close, but off by a shade, while the Swoosh remains black, as it was on the Tiempo. The studs are also remain gold, while black has more of a presence on the Premier II, featuring on the soleplate and around the collar, tongue and laces, linking it nicely with the “Beetroot” counterpart. Two belting options for the return of football, and both priced at a modest £90. Can’t argue with that.
