Nike Drop The Phantom GT II 'UV'

Freshening things up as the season cranks up, Nike drop some special edition shapes in the form of the Phantom GT II ‘UV’, which sees the silo breaking away from the Mercurial and Tiempo in its own unique colourway.

The Phantom GT II snuck on to the scene back in early July, stealthily landing as part of the ‘Renew Pack’, Nike’s lowkey blackout alternatives to the more colourful packs that get on-pitch support from the pros. It then took on the bright white of the ‘Rawdacious Pack’ for the Olympics before suiting up in the eye-catching ‘Motivation Pack’, ready for the beginning of the season. But now it breaks away from the standard trio setup to enjoy its first special edition solo outing.

The official colourway of the UV Phantom GT II is “College Navy/White/Vivid Purple”, and it sees the navy colouring on the higher portion of the upper, while the lower part takes the “Vivid Purple”. The colours are separated by crimson bands that run throughout the upper, lending it a unique look. The boot is finished with white Swoosh branding on the forefoot and heel.

The Phantom GT II UV is available in both a low-cut variation alongside the collared Dynamic Fit version. Aside from that collar, both boots are exactly the same, arriving with a new Generative Texture in the upper, refining its predecessor’s data-driven design to provide enhanced touch and control. The reworked chevron pattern generates increased spin.
