With the new adidas Predator expected to drop any day now, we take a look back at all the colourways of the Predator Freak. From on-pitch pack releases to special editions, it’s been quite the 12 months…
Thanks to numerous sightings over the last few months, particularly recently from Jude Bellingham, we know that the Predator Freak is soon to be replaced by an all new model, which fits in with the regular 12 month life cycle. So with that, we take a look back at all colourways of what was the 18th generation of one of the most iconic silos in the game, as it took over from the already radical Mutator, ramping up the already aggressive aesthetics to 11. Get ready for the Freak show…
Superlative Pack
Kicking things off for the new generation in what was something a bit different than the traditional black, white and red. That combined with the new aggressive aesthetic was sure to upset some people out there...
Superstealth Pack
Joining the previously released Superstealth Pack late, this one offered a pleasing blackout look quickly followed the Superlative launch look.
X-Men Collection
Landing alongside the X is a crossover that the MCU would be proud of, superheroes in the form of those mutant X-Men made the journey pitch side. The Predator Freak's aggressive aesthetic lent itself perfectly to Wolverine, the best there is at what he does.
Superspectral Pack
From Superlative to Supestealth to Superspectral; certainly was a super start to the year, with adidas making this the fourth look for the new silo by April.
Showpiece Pack
Pairing the Predator with the X once again, adidas dressed them out in silvery hues in May ready for the Champions League and Europa League finals.
Meteorite Pack
The first on-pitch colourway for the 21/22 season landed at the end of July, bringing a uniform red look to the Three Stripe’s roster ahead of the new campaign. A good look for the Freak.
Escape Light Pack
The Escape Light Pack saw the Predator back in black once again, offering a more understated alternative to the Meteorite Pack version.
EQT Pack
Celebrating 30 years since the brand revolutionised its performance wear, adidas dropped the EQT pack, which saw the Predator Freak decked out in the OG EQT colourway, fusing the past with the present for a sweetly struck homage.
Numbers Up Pack
Inspired by EA Sports FIFA 22, and specifically the quest to achieve that elusive 99 rating, the Numbers Up pack was a vibrant affair that featured a 99 graphic across the upper.
Paul Pogba x Stella McCartney
Anyone for a vegan boot? Well that's what we got when Paul Pogba and Stella McCartney joined forces. An iconic Stella McCartney leopard graphic wrapped across the boot and was merged with an ‘earth explorer’ graphic beneath striking orange Demonskin spikes. An opalescent finish and ombré rainbow mirror metallic plates rounded off the look.
White Spark Pack
And so October gave us our last colourway for the Predator Freak, with the divisive design signing off particularly early with an understated design.
