Taking an evolutionary step in the development of their key silo, Umbro have lifted the veil on the all-new Velocita Alchemist, which introduces the brand’s ProWeave, a patented world-first woven technology that’s set to have an impact both on the pitch and on the planet.
With a long history of industry and brand firsts since 1924, Umbro continue to innovate in the world of football boots with the introduction of ProWeave on the Velocita Alchemist. This unique weaving method from Texon gives the Velocita Alchemist new levels of elasticity and stability in a single layer upper made partially from recycled polyester yarns. No additional post-weave treatments typically used in conventional boot manufacture are needed, leading to lighter and 35 percent more sustainable boot. The Velocita Alchemist has low impact on the planet, but high impact on the pitch.
ProWeave delivers the ultimate adaptive fit, hugging the foot like a second skin. TPU yarns and a biomimicked bee-wing structure makes the single layer upper strong without sacrificing a millimetre of multi-zonal stretch. The yarns also provide a grippy feel for total ball control. With a full water-resistant finish, there’s no issue with absorption.
On the bottom of the boot, a Pebax Powered Sprint+ outsole brings multidirectional agility, while the stud geometry distributes pressure evenly for strong traction and a comfortable change of pace and direction.
