Nike Drop The Premier III In "White/Game Royal/University Red"

In what's expected to be one of Nike's last kangaroo leather football boot releases, following the brand's recent announcement that they will no longer be using k-leather beyond 2023, the much-loved Premier III gets a new lick of paint with a fresh "White/Game Royal/University Red" colourway for the Spring season.

So it looks like we’re heading towards the end of a very distinctive era, with news recently breaking that Nike would not be making football boots from K-leather beyond 2023. It means big changes ahead for the likes of the brand’s longest-lasting silo, the Tiempo, and the grassroots specialist, the Premier. And with that in mind, each release throughout this year could very well be the last for each boot as we know them, hence why we’re a bit teary eyed whilst we write about the latest colour way for the Premier III.

Don’t get us wrong, we understand and fully agree with the reasons behind the decision to no longer use K-leather for football boots, but after years of enjoying that soft cushioned comfort when stroking a ball about, we will be a bit sad to see them go. And the Premier has been a staple for many players across the land, so the thought that the "White/Game Royal/University Red" colourway could be the last is a bittersweet one. But what a way to go; a crisp white base plays host to that signature Swoosh, which rides down its traditional placing on the sides of each boot.

A touch of red on the heel sits above the embossed Nike Premier callout, bringing focus and a final flourish to a what is a fitting execution.
