Continuing the 30th anniversary of what is one of the most influential boots of all-time, adidas has released a limited edition recreation of the OG Predator from 1994.

While a massive chunk of attention has been on the progressive Predator 24 this year, it should not be forgotten that 2024 also represents 30 years since the original Predator first appeared in a top-level match and arguably changed football forever. That milestone was acknowledged with the limited edition Predator 30, which dropped at the end of the year, introducing us all to the next generation of the franchise in the most luxuriously sumptuous style. While the returning fold-over tongue of the current model plucked at the nostalgia strings of a certain generation, now adidas just straight up beat the drum with a modern reimagining of the iconic original Predator that debuted back in 1994.

The Predator 94 deploys the latest Predator technology, crafted for goals, while maintaining a one-to-one aesthetic of the original, making it an instant collector's item. The stand-out feature, compared to more recent Predator iterations, is the larger, more pronounced SLR rubber ridges on the strike zone, heavily inspired by the original but adapted for the modern-day boot.

Adorned in the unmistakable signature black, red and white colourway, it sees the original Predator execution of the Three Stripes streaking down the sides, while the iconic Perdator eyes sit on the tongue. The same reptilian skin effect that we saw on the Predator 30 is again utilised on the black base sections of the FUSIONSKIN leather upper. That traditional aesthetic is then joined by modern innovation with a CONTROLFRAME 2.0 Outsole, ensurring that if you so desire, you could quite easily lace these beasts up for a match. Surely one for the mantlepiece though...
