Messi & Bad Bunny Team Up For Collaborative adidas F50

World’s collide as the goat meets the bunny, with adidas Originals officially revealing the Bad Bunny & Messi Collection, which celebrates the incredible connection between music and sport.

Having debuted the boot in Inter Miami’s 6-2 romp against New England this weekend, in which he scored an 11-minute hat-trick, adidas now officially reveal Lionel Messi’s latest signature edition F50. It arrives as the highlight of a collaborative collection with Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, with the two global superstars often expressing a mutual admiration for one another. The singer including five mentions of Messi in his latest album, while Messi, in turn, has expressed his own admiration for the Puerto Rican artist, revealing that seven Bad Bunny tracks are included on his personal pre-game playlist.

The Bad Bunny & Messi Collection draws inspiration from adidas heritage models, materials, and colourways from its rich brand archives. It features two of adidas’ most celebrated silhouettes, with the adidas Gazelle accompanying the F50.

The design of the boot is loaded with references to Messi’s illustrious career, with gold hues inspired by the prestigious Baton d’Or and World Cup trophies that he’s scooped throughout his career. The official colourway is “Cardboard/Cream White/Bright Cyan”, and that plays out as a low-key base colourway that’s complemented by bold accents and fitting detailing. A personalised feel to the drop is found most obviously at the instep of each boot, featuring both stars’ names and respective national flags. The 'X' stripe on the heel references Messi's number 10. When it comes to the soleplate, the calm base is contrasted with a bold, iridescent look that features other subtle Messi-branded callouts.

"Messi's last name has become its own word, a synonym for greatness, courage and heart,” said Benito Martinez Ocasio. “Watching him play with the passion he does is a privilege. I compare the love he feels for his country and his sport to the love I feel for music and Puerto Rico. Collaborating with him is an honor that so many people dream of and I never even imagined I could achieve it. Today, I feel so grateful to be able to represent our culture with the GOAT.

This campaign celebrates our fans. Seeing people who follow me and support me does more than just inspire me, it makes me feel very grateful. I always try to give everything I have on the pitch, so it’s great to see that there are people who appreciate that effort and always support me, even in bad times,” said Lionel Messi. On the collaboration with Benito, he commented, “Music is connected to many aspects of my life, and Bad Bunny is an artist who is never missing from my playlist.
