PUMA have dropped their first boot release of the year – the 'Unlimited pack’. This pack features a new generation of the Future boot, along with new graphics on the Ultra and a new colourway for the King.
Following the release of the ‘Future 8 launch edition’ back in December, PUMA have now officially presented the new generation of Future boot. Slotted in the ‘Unlimited pack’, this boot is unveiled alongside new looks for the Ultra 5 and King boots. This new generation of Future, the star of the pack, is an exciting drop to start the new year, with PUMA focusing on new technology allowing players to play at the elite level.
Revealed in a “Puma black/Puma white/Glowing red” colourway, the new Future 8 focuses on three key layers: outsole, internal layers and external layers. Using unique technology for each layer, they are used to provide instinctive movements, a personalised fit and amplified skills.
Designed to push boundaries of what's possible in football, one of the key new features of this boot is the FLEXIGILITY outsole. Focused on instinctive movements, it features a de-coupled plate made up of two pods - one at the back for better support and another at the front for increased stability and reaction to movement. The stud placement on this soleplate is designed to enhance rotational flow and provide unrestricted 360-degree movement on the pitch. As if that wasn’t enough, PUMA have also crafted this sole with reduced material within the main flexing areas to provide a flexible sole plate with freedom of movement. The only limit is your imagination.
As like the previous models of Future boot, it is fitted with FUZIONFIT technology. A highly elastic Lycra sat on top of a stretchy knit provides an adaptive and supportive fit that acts as a second skin, aswell as giving a sleek aesthetic to the boot. This adaptive fit allows players to wear these boots with or without laces, without affecting the performance of the boots. Reinforced with a new triangular PWRTAPE across the mid-foot, it provides the ultimate lockdown and stability. The personalised fit is finished with 3D FUZIONPODS which provide protection and freedom of movement by dynamically adapting to the foots shape during performance.
The final layer of this boot concentrates on enhancing the wearers control and grip on the ball by using a GripControl Pro skin finish combined with a high-density mesh overlay. Featured with hints of red and purple faded together, this boot is a bold look for creative players like Neymar Jr and Jack Grealish to express themselves on the pitch. PUMA have crafted a pioneering boot for ballers to play with comfort and skill at every level, all whilst looking quality.
Even though the Future 8 is the focus of the ‘Unlimited pack', the Ultra 5 and King cannot be forgotten. PUMA have provided us with a new disruptive graphic for the Ultra, presented in a “Puma white/Puma black/Glowing red” colourway with the same lightweight technology. Again, focused on speed and acceleration, this boot possesses a FastTrax stud design allowing increased traction when cutting and changing direction. Making this a boot popular by some of the world’s most dynamic players such as Kingsley Coman and Christian Pulisic
We see this new pack also provide us with a new colourway of King, revealed in a “Glowing red/Puma white/red fire” colourway. Even though there is no new technology on this boot, PUMA have created a fire new colourway for the first release of the year.
