Nike Launch The 'Mad Energy' Pack

Arriving as the brand’s first release of 2025, Nike launch the ‘Mad Ready’ pack, refreshing the ranks with new paint jobs for the Air Zoom Mercurial, Phantom and Tiempo Legend X.

We’re well into the post Christmas slump now, but Nike is looking to “Energise The Pitch” with its first release of the year, the ‘Mad Energy’ pack. Picking up where the ‘Mad Voltage’ pack left off, and the ‘Mad Ambition’ pack before that, the ‘Mad’ theme that Nike have been enjoying over the last two campaigns continues strong here, with the idea behind the naming all about finding that extra bit of energy to get over what in a weekly sense would essentially be hump day. Yep, get through January and February and your league position and any cup competitions you’re still competing in start to look a lot more realistic.

So what we get is a tried and trusted trick, with a colour combo that inverts as it travels through the three silos. That gives us the Air Zoom Mercurial (as always available in both Vapor and Superfly options) in a “Ember Glow/Aurora Green” colourway, where the reddish hues of the “Ember Glow” are the base colour, dominating the look, which is bolstered by the faintly green/teal accents in the branding.

The Phantom, available in both GX II and Luna II fits, flips that look with a “Mint/Atomic Red/Off Noir” colourway, with the mild green taking on the main look.

Finally, the Tiempo Legend X takes on more of a split with a “Hot Lava/White” look, the former colour covering the front of the boot, and the latter wrapping round the heel.

Three fresh looks, and a departure from the brand’s more regular and routine colour options. Expect to see these on pitches across the globe for the next few months.
