With the red half of Liverpool still in the hangover phase after Saturday night's heroics in Madrid, adidas are wasting no time looking forward to next season's Champions League campaign by unveiling the official match ball for the 2019/20 group stage.
The road to Istanbul is already underway as the Three Stripes reveal a new design that will come into play when battle recommences later this year. Once again adidas have opted for a colourful display which follows on from the blue group stage ball of last season and the orange design used in the knockout stages, only this time, the panel design is modified with an overlapping construction of the iconic white stars.
The new ball features an all over triangular pattern that brings colours to the panels and fades to grey on the white stars. Flashes of vibrant yellow, blue and pink ensure that the aesthetic is a statement design along with strong black edges on those trademark stars. As per usual, the group stage ball will be replaced by a knockout design in January once the groups are concluded.
