Versace Release Barocco-Print Sports Balls

If you’re looking for something a little different this Christmas and you’ve got a spare £145 burning a hole in your pocket, then look no further than Versace’s Barocco Soccer Ball, which coats a traditional panel ball with the brand’s signature patterning. And it’s not alone, landing alongside a similarly styled rugby ball and basket ball.

OK, so Versace probably isn’t best known for its sporting endeavours, but that hasn’t stopped the Italian brand from offering a premium avenue into the worlds of football, rugby and basketball, with its signature Barocco pattern splashed across a new ball collection. Being where our field of expertise lies, the football naturally caught our eye, encapsulating the phrase ‘The Beautiful Game’ perfectly. It’s constructed from a polyurethane mixture and it takes a classic multi-panelled design and covers it in the Barocco pattern for one of the most stylish footballs you’re ever likely to see.

Coming in at £145 though, this is a seriously premium option. While we can’t speak of its performance, if that’s what you’re after then you may well be better off investing in an official match ball, of which we’ve had several recently revealed, including the ‘Uniforia’ Euro 2020 ball, the ‘Tsubasa’ 2019 Club World Cup ball, and the 2019 MLS ball, the ‘Nativo XXV’. But if it’s pure aesthetics you’re after, then look no further. The Versace Barocco Soccer Ball is a dream design, but one you’d probably not want to kick about down the local park.
