PUMA Unveil 22/23 Hi-Viz Match Balls For Serie A & La Liga

Ready for the return of top-level domestic football in both Italy and Spain following the first-ever winter World Cup, PUMA have revealed the new Hi-Viz match balls for Serie A and La Liga.

As we edge towards the climax of the World Cup, attention inevitably turns to the impending return of domestic action. For Italians, that comes on the 4 January, while La Liga will see a return slightly earlier on 29 December. And both leagues will kick off with a new hi viz version of the Orbita match ball that has been in use so far.

The ORBITA Winter Serie A ball, which will make its debut on the pitch on matchday 16 of Serie A, features powerful graphics inspired by the logo of Italy's top professional football division. The vibrant PUMA logo in Sunset Glow and the Blue Glimmer and PUMA White details, integrated into the Yellow base, guarantee excellent visibility of the ball in all weather conditions.

Designed to guarantee maximum visibility of its trajectory, the new La Liga ball features bright and bold graphics with a striking colour combination and is inspired by the permanent rivalry between teams and the intensity that characterises all LaLiga matches. These graphics are enhanced with the insertion of a series of rectangles in a calmer shade of purple that give it a classic look while on the move while helping to balance the overall graphic concept that defines it.

The ball offers a unique configuration of 12 large star-shaped panels that results in a reduced number of seams, allowing for a better connection to the ball. The FIFA Approved ORBITA uses cutting-edge technology to create an optimal ball that retains its shape and allows for less water absorption. POE foam is added to increase touch sensitivity, providing a firmer feel and better rebound consistency. In addition, the 1.2 mm textured 3D PU surface improves aerodynamics and makes the ball more resistant to abrasion and wear, increasing its durability. The ball also features a rubber bladder and a PAL (PUMA Air Lock) valve for optimal air retention and rebound.
