PUMA Reveal EFL Play-Offs 'Golden Ball'

Ready for the culmination of the current season and all the drama that comes with it, PUMA have unveiled a special edition Match Ball for the 2022/23 Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs. All teams that make it to the EFL Play-Offs will use the ball in their pursuit of the final promotion places.

Following the culmination of the regular season in League One on Sunday 7 May and the Championship and League Two on Monday 8 May, the season-defining Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs will take centre stage. The dates have now been confirmed for the Sky Bet EFL Play-Offs with 12 fixtures set to take place over eight days across the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two. And fitting for the occasions, PUMA have unveiled a new Orbita match ball, and the design features gold accents celebrating the magnitude of each game, representing the 'golden ticket' of promotion each club is striving to achieve.

The introduction of the golden ball marks the first time in the history of the EFL that the ball used during the Play-Offs will be different to the ball used during the regular season. Each club will have an allocation of balls delivered to their training ground ahead of their semi-final ties.

The Oribita ball, which incorporates the latest technology developed by PUMA, is made of 12 symmetrical panels forming the perfect sphere, with contours between panels enhanced to form deeper channels resulting in perfect ball flight aerodynamics.

Alongside the launch of the ball, PUMA are running an exclusive ‘golden ticket’ competition that will see one lucky fan win two tickets to the 2022/23 EFL Championship Play-off Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 27 May. More information around the competition can be found via PUMA Football social channels.
