adidas have officially unveiled the match ball for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, and it’s a beauty. With the tournament fast approaching, this release bolsters the excitement for another summer of football. We can’t wait.
This June will mark the first-ever expanded FIFA Club World Cup tournament, with 32 teams from across the world competing. Even though there is plenty of speculation on whether this tournament is too much for the players, due to heavy fixture schedules throughout the season, I’m sure we can all agree we love a summer packed with football. Excitement has been brewing since the first look at the brand new CWC trophy which was revealed back in November of last year, and the latest ball release is sure to add to it. The tournament will take place over 11 stadiums across USA in the heat of the summer sun.
Adidas have now officially revealed the match ball that will be used during the tournament. Inspired by the hosts national colours, the colourful design incorporates a striking red, white and blue colourway. The ball itself features adidas connected ball technology, enabling faster and more accurate officiated decisions – much needed. The Club World Cup official match ball pulls inspiration from pretty much every major adidas ball since the early 00’s, with a strong essence of the 2014 Brazil World Cup model. Stars from the USA national flag are printed on swirls of blue and red, finished with the traditional three stripes of adidas in bold.
Fans will be eager to see this ball in action when June comes around. Get your pints ready in the beer garden for what's bound to be a class tournament.
